Confirmed: Arsenal sign Habeeb Ogunneye from Manchester United; given number 62 shirt

Arsenal have completed the signing of defender Habeeb Ogunneye from Manchester United, the club have confirmed.

The 20-year-old right-back will go into Arsenal’s U21 squad and has been given the squad number 62 for EFL Trophy matches and training.

Ogunneye gained experience of senior football last season during a loan spell at Newport County, for whom he featured 21 times, scoring once.

He was previously named on the bench for the Manchester United first-team on numerous occasions in the 2023/24 season, including for a game at home to Arsenal.
