Confirmed: Five Arsenal stars make PFA Premier League Team of the Year
Arsenal ended the 2025/26 Premier League season on a high note with their first league title in 22 years.
The backline was instrumental in winning the long-awaited trophy, and three defenders have now made the PFA Premier League Team of the Year alongside goalkeeper David Raya.
Raya was exceptional between the sticks. The Spaniard secured a third-straight Golden Glove award for the most clean sheets. No goalkeeper has won four in a row, and Raya could make history this term.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have also made the Team of the Year on the back of their brilliant central defensive partnership last season.
The duo have become one of the best centre-back pairings in world football, and Gabriel also stood out last term with some vital goal contributions.
Saliba is presently out with a back injury sustained at the World Cup, and it may be a while before the Frenchman returns to competitive action again.
Right-back Jurrien Timber has likewise made the PFA Premier League XI. The Dutchman had a late-season injury, but still played a big role for the Gunners en route to the title.
He was almost an undisputed starter on the right side of the Gunners’ backline, and Arsenal fans will be hoping that the 25-year-old will return soon from a nagging groin problem.
Alongside the quartet, midfielder Declan Rice is the fifth and final Arsenal star in the XI. The 27-year-old had another solid campaign with 11 goal contributions in the English top-flight.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have four representatives in Nico O’Reilly, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo and Erling Haaland. Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Brentford’s Igor Thiago complete the side.
Fernandes is widely expected to be named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.
