Arsenal fans make Ethan Nwaneri claim as he makes perfect debut for Borussia Dortmund

Ethan Nwaneri got his Borussia Dortmund career off to the perfect start today and his debut over in Germany has got Arsenal fans talking.

Nwaneri started on the bench but was introduced early as Filippo Mane was withdrawn in the 32nd minute for the Gunners teenager.

In the end, Dortmund won the game against Hoffenheim 3-2, with Nwaneri playing a crucial role in the winner.

Marauding down the left, Nwaneri’s cut back was turned into his own goal by Albian Hajdari, giving Dortmund the win with just four minutes to play.

Naturally, Nwaneri’s performance has caught the eye of Arsenal fans, who have been all over social media discussing his performance.

Ethan Nwaneri needs a good spell in Germany and you have to say this is the ideal start for him today.

Getting a winning assist on his debut will give Nwaneri huge confidence for the season ahead and Arsenal fans are delighted to see it.

One fan immediately claimed he should have been kept, saying:

“And we let this boy with better end product leave the team while Madueke is staying”, while another added similar sentiment, “I’m seeing what Nwaneri is doing on the left that he could be doing for us.”

Nevertheless, Nwaneri is a Dortmund player for now and despite his rating being low overall, the assist took centre stage.

One fan also suggested ‘He’s coming home in January’ while in among the praise, poor old Noni Madueke seemed to be at the butt of some jokes.
