Confirmed Arsenal Team v Chelsea in huge Emirates clash. Havertz leads the line.

Arsenal return to the Emirates this afternoon for a huge London derby against Chelsea as Mikel Arteta’s side look to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League season.

The Gunners have won both of their opening matches, following up their opening-day victory over Coventry City with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Aston Villa.

Chelsea also arrive with six points from six after victories over Fulham and Brighton, meaning something has to give when the two sides meet today.

A huge early test for Arsenal

Chelsea have made an explosive attacking start to the season, scoring seven goals in their opening two Premier League matches.

Arsenal, however, have been outstanding defensively. As we highlighted in our Match Preview earlier today, the Gunners have allowed only one shot on target across their first two league games.

Recent history in this fixture also strongly favours Arsenal.

Arteta’s side are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League meetings with Chelsea, winning six and drawing three, while the Blues have lost on each of their last four league visits to the Emirates.

Those records will count for little once the whistle blows, but Arsenal have every reason to approach this game with confidence.

Both clubs have started perfectly. Now comes Arsenal’s biggest examination of the new Premier League campaign so far.
