Manchester City could now sign £80m player instead of Arsenal late in the transfer window

The Gunners have only signed Christos Tzolis for their front line, and even though he has impressed everyone, he will need more help.
Arsenal’s focus is on Julian Alvarez right now, but with Gabriel Martinelli on the verge of leaving, they will need a new left winger as well.
There aren’t many top-level options left on the market, and if Andrea Berta isn’t quick, that number could go down by one.
Manchester City join race to sign Arsenal target Iliman Ndiaye
Iliman Ndiaye is one of the best options out there for teams looking for a new winger.
The Everton star can play on both wings, is proven in the Premier League, and has done enough to warrant a move to a bigger club.
Arsenal have looked at Ndiaye in this window, and he is said to be an option ahead of the transfer deadline on Tuesday.
However, the Gunners have some competition now.
Ben Jacobs has revealed on X that Manchester City are now interested in signing Ndiaye, who is valued at £80 million by Everton.
That is a lot of money, but at this stage of the summer transfer window, when selling clubs know just how desperate buying clubs are, teams will have to overpay.
City have all the money in the world to do just that, which complicates things for Arsenal if they cannot get another deal over the line.
Arsenal appear to have missed out on another left-wing target
Arsenal have been linked with several left wingers since the transfer window began.
Morgan Rogers was initially the main target before the Gunners pursued a move to sign Vinicius Jr. Neither of those deals came to fruition.
Then, Arsenal were linked with Bradley Barcola of PSG, but he appears to be going elsewhere now.

Fabrizio Romano has delivered his trademark ‘Here We Go’ on Barcola joining Liverpool for an initial fee of £100 million.
Unless there is a late twist, Arsenal have no chance of landing Barcola, which means they have to look elsewhere.
