Another Arsenal player is feeling disrespected by Mikel Arteta

Mikel Arteta was accused of disrespecting Gabriel Martinelli before the Brazilian sealed a move to Al Hilal this summer, as he was not involved in Arsenal’s matches before the transfer was confirmed.
Martinelli had spent the previous few seasons establishing himself as one of the best players in the team and was always reliable when the Gunners needed him. He did not want to leave Arsenal, but it was the club’s idea for him to depart this summer, leaving the attacker with little choice but to move away from the Emirates.
Martinelli’s Arsenal exit
Martinelli rejected Galatasaray and accepted a move to the Saudi Pro League because it was viewed as his best opportunity to leave after Arsenal insisted they wanted him to depart. He reportedly felt disrespected by the way the situation was handled.
Now, another player at the Emirates is believed to feel similarly. Piers Morgan thinks Viktor Gyokeres could be experiencing the exact same treatment after struggling to secure regular opportunities since joining the Gunners.
Without Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli, the Swede would have expected to play many games, but he has so far been benched for Kai Havertz, who has previously suffered from injuries.

Morgan raises Gyokeres concerns
Morgan claims Gyokeres is unhappy with his situation and suggests the striker was deliberately left out of the starting team. He also says Arsenal had planned to trade him for Julian Alvarez, although that deal ultimately failed to materialise, as quoted by the Metro:
‘Viktor Gyokeres has hardly had a kick since the season started and I was told on good authority that he was being deliberately benched.
‘Arsenal were going to try and trade him for Julian Alvarez and in the end they couldn’t make that deal happen.
‘I was told that Gyokeres is p****d off about the way he’s been treated and feels he’s been disrespected.’
The claims raise questions about Gyokeres’ current situation at Arsenal, particularly given the expectations surrounding his arrival. The striker will want to establish himself and contribute regularly, while Arteta will expect him to remain patient and continue working for his opportunity.
For the Gunners, the priority will be ensuring Gyokeres settles into the team and begins making the impact expected of him. His response to the situation could prove important as the season develops.
