Crystal Palace Complete Signing Of United States Prospect Zavier Gozo From Real Salt Lake
Crystal Palace have secured the signing of teenage forward Zavier Gozo from Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake for a reported fee of $15m (£11.1m).
The 19-year-old Utah-born prospect has committed to a five-year deal at Selhurst Park, pending international clearance being granted by the relevant authorities.
Gozo joined the Real Salt Lake academy back in 2021 and wasted little time in making his mark on professional football in the United States.
He made his MLS debut as a 16-year-old in October 2023, becoming one of the youngest players to feature for the club in recent memory.
The young forward has been in outstanding form during the current MLS season, scoring six goals and registering four assists in RSL’s opening 16 league games.
His performances earned him a place in the MLS All-Star Game this season, confirming his status as one of the most exciting young talents in American football.
Gozo has represented the United States at every youth level up to under-23s, underlining his potential and standing within American football’s development structure.
He becomes Crystal Palace’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window, continuing what has been a busy and ambitious recruitment drive by the club.
Gozo follows Oscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Dwight McNeil, Evann Guessand, and Anan Khalaili through the doors at Selhurst Park this summer.
The arrival of Gozo adds further attacking depth to a Palace squad preparing to begin life under new head coach Pierre Sage.
