Arsenal consider ambitious exchange to bring elite Serie A superstar to the Emirates

Arsenal are exploring whether a late move for Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz is possible, with Gabriel Martinelli potentially emerging as part of the negotiations.
According to The Independent, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is particularly keen on Yildiz as the Gunners consider making another significant attacking addition before the transfer window closes.
Arsenal initially identified Vinicius Junior as their dream option on the left, but his decision to sign a new Real Madrid contract forced the club to reassess their plans.
Julián Alvarez has subsequently featured prominently among the alternatives, although the Argentina international’s preference for remaining in Spain has complicated Arsenal’s pursuit.
Yildiz now represents another intriguing possibility because his age and versatility would fit the club’s longer-term recruitment strategy.
The 21-year-old can operate from the left, centrally or behind a striker and has developed into one of Juventus’ most important attacking players since establishing himself in their senior side.
He was also handed the famous No.10 shirt in Turin and has become increasingly influential for both Juventus and Turkey, making any agreement difficult for Arsenal.
Juventus have little desire to lose him and would demand a substantial package before considering a sale, while his popularity among supporters provides another reason to resist approaches.
One possible solution raised during discussions is Martinelli moving in the opposite direction.
That would potentially help Arsenal create both the squad space and financial flexibility required to bring Yildiz to the Emirates Stadium, although significant negotiations would still be necessary before any swap could become realistic.
The Brazilian remains an established member of Arteta’s squad, but the summer arrival of Christos Tzolis has strengthened Arsenal’s options on the left and potentially made a departure easier to accommodate.
Arsenal must therefore decide whether replacing Martinelli with Yildiz represents enough of an upgrade to justify what could become a complicated and expensive transaction.
Yildiz offers considerable upside, particularly at 21, but Martinelli is already proven in the Premier League and contributed 11 goals and seven assists in all competitions during Arsenal’s title-winning campaign.
There is also no suggestion at this stage that Juventus have agreed to accept Martinelli as part of a deal.
Arsenal could instead postpone their search for another attacker until January or next summer if the right opportunity does not emerge.
However, with Arteta seeking a squad capable of defending the Premier League title and going one step further in Europe, Yildiz has emerged as another ambitious option worth exploring before the deadline.
