Arteta: It was a joy to watch the team today

Mikel Arteta spoke to Sky Sports after the 2-1 win over Chelsea made it three wins from three in the Premier League this season.
Here’s what he had to say.
On his conceding early and his team’s reaction ..
“Very disappointed with the way we conceded the first goal. We will talk about it, but credit to them and the finish that Morgan has. But the way we reacted and the way we played, it was a fascinating game from start to finish.
“It was an absolute joy to watch our team play, compete, the composure, the personality, the threat that we generated. It was a huge and good performance as well, and the atmosphere in the stadium is just something great to witness.”
What was he thinking in the early minutes after their goal?
“Game on. This is the quality that they have individually. You can tell that they can produce those magic moments.
“They’ve done it, but I’m interested in the way we reacted. The composure that we showed in that moment, it was just an avalanche. It was action after action, and it was a joy to watch.”
Is Arsenal’s relentlessness another layer on top of last season’s control?
“There will be another layer of dynamism and threat in terms of aggression in the attacking phase, and we’ve certainly seen that today.”
On improvement in attack coming from player availability …
“We missed players for six months. Five months. Martin. Bukayo for three and a half months, Havertz seven months. That’s a lot, and the team, the way we handled that last season, it was phenomenal. I’m sure we’ll have them on the pitch because then so many great things will happen.

Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea – player ratings
On this performance being a marker …
“Yeah, I really enjoyed it, honestly. It was a joy to stand there. It was an absolute joy to watch the team play and compete from the beginning to the end.”
On Tzolis’s performance …
“He was unreal again, and he’s been showing that, again, the level of threat, his work rate is just something else. But his decision-making, the way he handles the timing and the advantage he generates with the next teammate is just phenomenal to watch.”
On Raya being one of the best in the world …
“Yeah, that’s it. He makes his first step out on that individual action again. His presence, you know, you have him there, the way he comes out and collects every cross, it’s just so helpful.”
Is this Arsenal attacking the title?
“It was an attack the game, and that’s what we have to do daily and try to improve daily and find a new version, a better version of ourselves every single day and push and inspire the players to try to get to those levels.”
