Jurrien Timber reveals who Arsenal's best finisher is and it's not Viktor Gyokeres or Bukayo Saka

One of Arsenal’s biggest issues in attack in recent years has been a lack of clinical finishing.

The Gunners have an incredible backline and a phenomenal midfield, but they haven’t always been able to blow teams away by taking the chances they create in the final third.

Having said that, there are a few players in the squad who are great finishers, and we have seen some of them score incredible goals as well.

Jurrien Timber has now revealed who is the best of them all.

Jurrien Timber says Arsenal star Eberechi Eze is the best finisher he has ever played with

Eberechi Eze is a wonderful footballer.

The England international is versatile, excellent on the ball, can create chances and score a variety of goals from inside and outside the box.

In his debut season at Arsenal, Eze scored 10 goals, five of which came against Tottenham Hotspur in two North London Derby games.

The 28-year-old scored fantastic goals against Newcastle United and his old club Crystal Palace too, but the best of the lot has to be his long-range strike against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

Timber saw all of those goals and perhaps many others in training over the last year. That has made up his mind.

While speaking to SPORTbible at the PFA Awards, the Dutchman was asked to name the best finisher he has ever played with, past or present.

He replied: “That is not an easy one. There are so many. I’m going to go with Eberechi Eze.”

🗣️ “Worst fashion? It’s hard to say!” 😅

Eberechi Eze may have a different role at Arsenal

Eze played over 50 games for Arsenal in all competitions last season, and 40 of those came as an attacking midfielder.

The number 10 role, in our opinion, is his best position, but he may have to settle for a different spot in the team this term.

Arsenal are light on the left wing following the departure of Leandro Trossard, while Gabriel Martinelli is on the verge of leaving as well.

Christos Tzolis has arrived and has been incredible, but he cannot start 60 games on his own.

That’s where Eze could come in, and we think he is more than good enough to do a job on the left wing whenever required.
