Arsenal offered chance to sign 21yo Belgian winger, can leave for £30m+

Lyon winger Malick Fofana has been offered to Arsenal after his decision to snub Hull City, according to journalist Santi Aouna.
Lyon recently failed to qualify for the Champions League via the play-offs, and will be participating in the Europa League instead.
With the significant loss in funds, Les Gones are now open to a high-profile exit. Fofana appears the likely candidate to move on.
Aouna reports today that Fofana has turned down an approach from Hull, and the Belgian is hoping to join a club of greater stature.
His agents have approached several clubs, including Arsenal.
Fofana would be a decent acquisition
The 21-year-old signed for Lyon from Gent in the summer of 2024 and had a good debut season with the French outfit, making 17 goal contributions.
However, Fofana was limited to under 1,000 minutes of playing time last term, having been sidelined with an ankle injury for most of the campaign.
The Belgian ace has stayed fit for the new season, scoring two goals in six outings, but he is widely expected to leave before the window closes.
In our view, Fofana would be a decent acquisition on the left wing for Arsenal with his creativity, work rate and explosive pace to get behind defences.
The ex-Gent man may not be an upgrade on Christos Tzolis, but would certainly provide adequate competition for places, with Gabriel Martinelli due to depart for Al-Hilal.
Corriere dello Sport recently reported that Lyon are looking for more than £30 million for a sale, and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal make a move.
As of now, Arsenal remain hopeful of landing Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez, but may have to change their stance amid his reluctance to return to England.
