Zlatan Ibrahimovic has just made two predictions that Arsenal fans will not like

Arsenal are widely viewed as the best team in England right now.

The Gunners are the reigning Premier League champions, Champions League finalists and arguably have the most complete squad in terms of depth in the entire country right now.

That should make them the favourites to go the distance in every competition they are in, especially on the domestic scene, and Mikel Arteta will expect nothing less from his side.

However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn’t quite believe that will happen.

The dream for every Arsenal fan is to win the Champions League, but the bare minimum this season has to be retaining the Premier League title and winning one of the two domestic cups.

Arteta’s men are the favourites to go all the way in the English top flight, and as they are the most successful side in FA Cup history, they should be aiming to win that competition as well.

Despite the humiliating defeat to Brighton, Arsenal are in a good place to retain their league crown, especially with all the uncertainty around leaders Manchester City right now.

However, when Ibrahimovic was asked by ESPN FC to predict who will win the Premier League title this season, he completely ignored the champions.

“City,” he replied with his ever-present confidence.

Then, the Swedish icon was asked his pick for the FA Cup, and once again, he chose to ignore Arsenal. “Chelsea,” he said.

Those two predictions will not sit well with Arsenal supporters, as their side have already battered Manchester City 3-0 before picking up a very comfortable 2-1 win over Chelsea.

If it’s down to the quality, stability and squad depth, Arsenal should be viewed as the favourites to win both the Premier League and the FA Cup this season.

Ibrahimovic disagrees, but that should act as added motivation for Arteta and his side to prove him wrong in the coming months.
