- Several unnamed Premier League sides are monitoring the future of Noni Madueke as a January exit from Arsenal could be on the cards, according to Football Insider. The England international could leave the Emirates Stadium if the Gunners are open to it, as he is struggling for minutes in the early weeks of the season. Madueke, 24, only moved to Arsenal last summer from Chelsea, since when he has scored nine goals and registered four assists in 48 appearances. However, with youngster Max Dowman adding to the competition in his position on the right flank, another move could be on the cards.
- Liverpool are among a whole host of teams tracking AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit, TEAMtalk reports. The 20-year-old has been a regular for the Dutch side over the past two seasons, with this campaign offering him a chance to impress in the Eredivisie and the Europa League once again. Liverpool are long-term admirers of Smit, who made his senior debut for Netherlands in March but did not make the cut for their 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
- Arsenal are following the progress of Sturm Graz youngster Luca Weinhandl, along with fellow Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion, according to TEAMtalk. The 17-year-old made his breakthrough last season with 10 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga. This season he has already seen him feature five times, along with a start in the Europa League. A £20 million package could reportedly be enough to land Weinhandl, as teams position themselves for the January transfer window.
- New York City FC is closing in on the signing of defender Matt Miazga as a free agent, days after FC Cincinnati waived his contract, The Athletic reports. The 31-year-old is closing in on the switch with NYCFC aiming for a place in this season's playoffs. Miazga, who has won 28 caps for the USMNT, has plenty of experience in MLS, and was named the MLS Defender of the Year in 2023. After 108 appearances with Cincinnati, the former Chelsea man will now be looking to make an impact with NYCFC.
- Juventus are preparing talks with Nicolás González over a contract extension during the upcoming international break. Nicolo Schira states that the winger could sign for an extra year or two, with his current deal running until 2029. González spent last season on loan at Atlético Madrid, and while an approach was made for the 28-year-old by the Rojiblancos, as well as Inter Milan and a Saudi Pro League team, he decided to stay at the club. The forward has two goals and one assist to his name in four appearances since returning to Turin, as he looks to consolidate that form with a new contract.
