The summer window is shut but Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham and others are already looking ahead to January. A man expected to be very much in demand is Eli Junior Kroupi, who is currently sidelined with injury. The Gunners are expected the lead the chase for a player who could cost close to £100million. Other young forwards, such as Endrick and Rio Ngumoha are also interested. Julian Alvarez is said to be considering switching agents to force a move away from Atletico Madrid.

Young stars are the flavour of the months within Man United keen on Lens teenager Mezian Mesloub as JJ Gabriel heads for the exit door, with Real Madrid and Barcelona leading the chase, but Chelsea also in the mix. The Blues are expected to explore January deals for Alex Scott, Adam Wharton and Lamine Camara in January, reigniting their summer interest, while they also keep tabs on Bournemouth winger Rayan.

Liverpool are monitoring Bayer Leverkusen defender Givairo Read, who also has admirers at Arsenal and Manchester City. Tottenham are ready to smash their transfer record again with a £125m move for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, while Richarlison looks out of options after UAE side Shabab Al Ahli failed to agree a fee with Spurs for the outcast striker. This is what Jakub Kiwior has told Polish channel Sportowy about leaving Arsenal for Porto.

“I really wanted to come here. When I found out Porto wanted me and were interested, I was already saying ‘yes’, because I knew Porto would give me more time on the pitch, more opportunities to play and because it’s a very big club,” he said.

“Playing regularly is what helps you develop the most. Spending so much time on the pitch helps you grow with every game.

“I’m 100% happy with my decision to come here. The title confirmed that I’m in the right place.”

Monaco have admitted that a Lamine Camara sale could be possible in the January transfer window, putting both Chelsea and Liverpool on alert.

Manchester United are tracking rising Lens star Mezian Mesloub, as a potential replacement for JJ Gabriel.

According to reports, Man Utd’s scouting department have carried out extensive work on the teenager, who has already made his senior debut for the French club.

While United’s priority remains to keep Gabriel, their interest in Mesloub shows they are planning for the possibility that their highly-rated academy forward ultimately chooses a different path.

Despite the Tottenham captain signing a new deal in the summer, a move to Liverpool can't be ruled out.

He said: "Micky van de Ven is now on a really good contract at Tottenham Hotspur but it’s not impossible. There's a lot still to be improved at Tottenham Hotspur. A lot. They have to step up and do so very soon as well.

Manchester United and Chelsea are stepping up their scouting of Palmeiras’ academy as they look to identify promising Brazilian talent at an early stage.

According to Sport Witness, officials from United and Chelsea have been regularly attending Palmeiras matches over the past month, with particular focus on the U15 side. Their scouting has also extended to younger age groups, with both clubs monitoring players as young as U12.

Palmeiras have produced several high-profile talents, including Gabriel Jesus, Endrick, Vitor Reis and Estevao. With international transfer rules preventing the youngest players from moving to England immediately, United and Chelsea appear focused on getting ahead of the competition for future stars.

Liverpool’s deal to sign Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh ultimately collapsed after the player suffered an injury.

According to Sport Witness, Liverpool have been interested in Minteh since October 2025 and first contacted his camp around February or March of this year. The Reds were targeting him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool submitted a £60m offer before Brighton raised their demands to around £70m, with an August 25 deadline attached. When the Reds failed to meet that deadline, the price increased to £80m for the final week of the window.

However, Minteh's foot injury became the biggest concern late in the window. Journalist Foday Manneh claims Liverpool could have pushed towards £75m without the injury, but the setback ultimately prevented them from completing the deal.

Tottenham sent scouts to watch Porto’s 3-1 win over Benfica on Sunday as they continue to assess potential transfer targets in Portugal.

According to Sport Witness, Spurs were among the clubs represented at the Estádio do Dragão, with Victor Froholdt and Gabri Veiga among the players likely to have attracted attention.

Froholdt produced an impressive display after returning from concussion, scoring Porto’s second goal and dominating in midfield. Veiga also impressed, opening the scoring after making a clever run behind the Benfica defence.

Tottenham also had the chance to monitor Samu Aghehowa, who made his first appearance in almost eight months following an ACL injury. The striker has previously been linked with Spurs and could now be followed closely as he works his way back to full fitness.

Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read after his impressive start to the new season.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are all continuing to monitor Read, who has registered five assists in seven Eredivisie appearances this term.

Read came close to moving to England during the summer, with Nottingham Forest making an offer while Everton also showed strong interest. However, no deal was completed and he remained with Feyenoord.

Liverpool see Read as a potential solution to their right-back situation, particularly with Jeremie Frimpong struggling for consistency. Arsenal and City are also monitoring his progress, setting up a potential three-way battle for the 20-year-old in 2027.
