The Arsenal captain has enjoyed an outstanding start to the campaign, silencing critics after last season’s struggles.
Odegaard scored in the Community Shield victory over Man City and also found the net in the league’s wins over Coventry City and Chelsea.
The 27-year-old leads Mikel Arteta’s side for expected assists (xA), big chances created and key passes per league game.
Odegaard’s brilliant strike also earned the north London side a 1-0 victory at Napoli in the UEFA Champions League.
Riccardo Calafiori
Calafiori has started six of Arsenal’s seven matches across all competitions, securing the left-back starting spot.
His attacking output has been notable. He scored the opening goal against City and registered an assist in his first two league games.
Calafiori was named Arsenal’s August Player of the Month. Pundit Jamie Carragher has described him as ‘the best left-back in the league by far‘.
Bukayo Saka
Saka has scored three goals across all competitions, the joint-highest in the Arsenal squad.
The England international is getting into more goalscoring positions than his teammates, ranking first for expected goals (xG), shots on target and shots on target per league game.
Saka is also averaging more successful dribbles per game, while only three Arsenal players are averaging more key passes per game than the winger.
