Piers Morgan insists Man City '100 per cent have to be relegated' after guilty verdict - as Simon Jordan claims the Abu Dhabi project is DOOMED

Piers Morgan has called for Manchester City to be relegated after the club were found guilty of the 'vast majority' of the 115 charges brought against them by the Premier League.

City, who are certain to appeal the verdict, are nervously awaiting punishment after being found guilty of 114 of their 115 rule-break charges, according to sources, with the club accused of widespread financial cheating over a period of sustained success between 2009 and 2018.

The punishment eventually imposed on Manchester City could range from a fine or points deduction to relegation or even the stripping of trophies.

Morgan, a fervent Arsenal fan, called for City to face Premier League relegation at the very least, along with a series of points deduction over the next few seasons, after being found guilty of 'cheating the system'.

Speaking to Simon Jordan and Daily Mail Sport's Oliver Holt on Football Uncensored, he said: 'They (Man City) 100 per cent have to be relegated. 100 per cent. This idea they get away with a fine and a transfer ban - no, no, no, no.

'I think they should be relegated, I think there should be a points deduction for the next four seasons. There's got to be a proper punishment. The fine is irrelevant, Abu Dhabi have gazillions pumping out of their oil barrels every day. It's got to hurt them.'
