National teammate hails “fantastic” Arsenal man
Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal and the Norway national team, so he must be a good player, but perhaps even more importantly, he has developed into a strong leader.
It did not take long for Arsenal to recognise his leadership qualities and appoint him as captain at the Emirates, while the midfielder also leads his national team. In both roles, he continues to demonstrate why he has earned the respect of his teammates.
Odegaard has developed into one of the finest leaders in the game, with his performances since the start of this season further highlighting his importance. When fully fit, he is regarded as one of the best players in Europe, which explains why Arsenal works hard to keep him fit and available.
Odegaard earns praise from teammate
However, it is his leadership that stands out most, particularly away from the pitch. Odegaard’s willingness to support his teammates has also been highlighted by one of his Norway colleagues, who has appreciated the time the Arsenal captain has taken to speak with him.
David Møller Wolfe has been part of the Norway national team for some time and has benefited from Odegaard’s leadership. The defender has now spoken about the support he has received from the Arsenal midfielder and praised his approach to helping teammates.
Speaking about Odegaard, Møller Wolfe said via SportWitness:
“He’s a fantastic leader who has been really great with me. He’s talked to me a lot. I appreciate that enormously.”
Odegaard continues to lead
The comments underline the influence Odegaard has developed within the Norway squad. His role as captain is not limited to what he contributes during matches, as his willingness to communicate with teammates has also made an impression.
For Arsenal, his leadership remains an important part of his value to the team. The midfielder is trusted to lead his club and country, while his performances continue to support his standing as one of the key figures in both squads.
Odegaard’s influence therefore extends beyond his ability with the ball. His leadership qualities, combined with his experience at the highest level, have allowed him to become an important figure for both Arsenal and Norway.
