Lewis Dunk claims Arsenal have a teenager who is so good it’s ‘crazy’

Arsenal may have been beaten by Brighton at the weekend, but the future is still incredibly bright for the Gunners.

Indeed, Arsenal are still favourites to win the Premier League title, and beyond that, they have an incredible crop of young talents emerging too.

Marli Salmon looks like he could be a star, Ethan Nwaneri is already impressing out on loan, while Max Dowman is the jewel in Arsenal’s crown.

Speaking to Football Manager on TikTok, Brighton’s captain, Lewis Dunk, reserved some special praise for Dowman, despite the fact his Brighton team hammered the Gunners at the weekend.

In the lead up to the release of Football Manager 2027, Dunk was asked about which English wonderkid he’s most excited about.

England have numerous young stars coming through such as Rio Ngumoha, Josh King and Jeremy Monga, but Dunk picked out Dowman as his one to watch.

“Who is one young player from your nation you’re excited about for the future?” Dunk was asked.

“You can’t look past Dowman can you? What he’s done already in the games he’s shown. His ability looks crazy, and if he carries on in this way you’d think he’s going to score a lot of goals for England,’ Dunk said.

Dunk is tipping Dowman for England glory, and he’s not the only one thinking along those lines.

Indeed, Harry Redknapp has also tipped Dowman to make the England team in time for the next Euros, and, at his current trajectory, you wouldn’t back against him.

Of course, at the age of just 16, it’s very difficult to map out what Dowman’s career will look like in years to come, but, right now, he does look like the most exciting young talent in the Premier League.
