Gabriel Magalhaes loves a good joke.

The Brazilian is a warrior on the pitch and is one of the best defenders in the world. He is extremely aggressive and is not someone a striker would want to face.

However, over the years, Gabriel has taken to social media to mock many of his opponents, most notably Richarlison. He has had a few great battles with Erling Haaland as well.

That has made Arsenal fans fall in love with him even more, but Gabriel’s jokes aren’t limited to his opponents – he pulls pranks on his teammates too.

In a Reddit AMA, Kai Havertz was asked by a fan to name one teammate who he would never trust with his phone when it’s unlocked.

He replied: “Maybe Gabi Magalhães, I would say, because he always already steals my phone and does some stupid stuff on there – so I wouldn’t trust him!”

This sort of camaraderie is excellent to see, and these relationships off the pitch are clearly helping these players click so well on the pitch.

Just recently, Mikel Arteta hailed Gabriel’s off-field relationship with Ezri Konsa, claiming that they look like they have known each other for years.

That is one of the many reasons why Arsenal are so successful on the pitch.
