Jurrien Timber fitness update as Arsenal duo see plane diverted during travel chaos

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber is following an individual training programme with the Dutch national team following his recent return to fitness.
The versatile full-back was forced to withdraw from Oranje's World Cup squad after losing his frustrating battle with a groin injury which later required a minor surgical procedure.
Timber made his first appearance of the season for the Gunners from the bench in the 2-0 win at Sunderland, replacing Ben White at the interval after the England international picked up his own groin injury.
The 25-year-old was then rested for the Carabao Cup third round trip to Ipswich Town before starting his first match since March in last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Brighton (he was substituted on 60 minutes).

He has since joined up with the Netherlands but has not trained with the main group over the past two days. On Monday, he was pictured working on a spinning bike and he was following an individual programme again on Tuesday when the squad emerged to train.
The thinking is that Timber's condition needs to be managed carefully following such a lengthy and problematic lay-off. Holland also play four games over the duration of the international break, so Xavi will be taking his time to assess all of the options within his squad.
Holland host Germany on Thursday (September 24) before travelling to Serbia (September 27) in the Nations League. They are then back in action a week on Thursday when they head to Greece (October 1) before hosting Serbia on October 4.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Magalhaes also sat out of Brazil's first session after they landed in Australia for two friendly matches. He has played 675 minutes across all competitions so far this term.
Both Gabriel and Bruno Guimaraes, who felt fit enough to do some work with the ball as his club team-mate stretched in the gym, were hit by huge travel disruption upon arrival Down Under due to weather.
Their flight, bound for Brisbane where Carlo Ancelotti's squad were due to meet up, was unable to land and was instead diverted to Sydney meaning the Arsenal pair were late to report to camp.
Brazil are staying in Brisbane until Thursday before they head to Townsville to take on Australia. They then face the same opponent on September 29 before taking on India in Kolkata on October 3.
