How Rio Ngumoha privately feels after hearing Arsenal want to sign him

Arsenal’s shock interest in Liverpool wonderkid Rio Ngumoha has raised excitement in recent days.
The Gunners have been working hard on their recruitment in recent years – not just with their first team but also their academy.
Ngumoha would definitely go straight into the senior side if Arsenal sign him, even though he is still only 18 years old.
However, Andrea Berta has a lot of hurdles to clear to get this deal over the line.
Rio Ngumoha is happy at Liverpool despite Arsenal links
Rio Ngumoha is one of the brightest talents in English football.
The teenager has already produced a few excellent moments for Liverpool, and he continues to get senior minutes despite his young age.
However, the signings of Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz, combined with Cody Gakpo’s availability and form, have raised concerns about the teen winger’s future.
That has led to speculation that Arsenal are interested in Ngumoha, which is not a surprise at all considering their need for a new left winger. But there is some bad news.
The Daily Mail have revealed that Liverpool have issued a ‘hands-off warning’ to all the clubs showing any interest in Ngumoha. Their plan is to extend his contract and keep him at the club.
The report further claims that Ngumoha is aware of the interest too – not just from Arsenal but elsewhere – but he is said to be happy at Liverpool right now.
That is a positive update for Liverpool fans, but Arsenal should not lose hope, at least until he pens a new deal at Anfield.
That’s because Ngumoha will enter the final 18 months of his contract in January, and as long as he doesn’t sign an extension, his future will be up in the air.
That is when Arsenal should start making their case to sign Ngumoha, promise to make him a future star alongside Max Dowman, and convince him that the Emirates is the best place for his development.
Whether that will be enough, however, remains to be seen.
