How long Arsenal expect Kai Havertz to be out injured as Mikel Arteta dealt major blow

International duty is always a nervy time for managers and Arsenal and Mikel Arteta seems to have suffered a cruel twist of fate with Kai Havertz.
The German forward has been in fine form for the Gunners so far this season.
However, when turning out for Germany in their clash with the Netherlands this week, Havertz pulled up injured with what looked like an obvious hamstring problem.
Now, it looks like Arsenal’s worst fears could be about to come true.
Kai Havertz set to miss extended period with hamstring injury
With Kai Havertz such an integral part of this Arsenal team, the last thing Mikel Arteta needed was for his star man to go down injured.
But that is exactly what has happened.
Indeed, after initially reporting on the issue for The Times after the game in midweek, journalist Gary Jacob has now updated the article with a suggestion that Havertz could now be out for at least four weeks.
News of the German forward being missing for what will essentially be the entire month of October and maybe more is bad for the Gunners.
That would see Havertz miss key games against Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Everton in the league, while Lille and Bayern also come up in European action.
Furthermore, Arsenal also faces a huge clash with Liverpool on November 1st.
Havertz, then, looks to be in a race against time to be fit for the next block of fixtures and with Viktor Gyokeres yet to get going whatsoever this term, the pressure will be on him to perform in Havertz’s absence.
