How Arsenal feel about selling Noni Madueke amid interest from Juventus and Atletico Madrid

Noni Madueke might be down the pecking order at Arsenal at the moment but the Gunners have a firm stance when it comes to letting him go.

Madueke knows he is always going to be behind Bukayo Saka on the right and as of right now, he’s also struggling to get in on the opposite side.

The Gunners paid £50m for the England winger and while he’s impressed in spells, consistency remains a big issue.

Regardless, Madueke’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed, with both Juventus and Atletico Madrid apparently keen on a January deal.

However, Arsenal – and in particular Mikel Arteta – have a firm answer to those reports.

Mikel Arteta would block Noni Madueke exit at Arsenal

While not a regular starter, Madueke remains one of the only natural wingers left at the club.

The sales of Martinelli, Jesus and Trossard this summer have left Arsenal short in wide areas and according to reports, Mikel Arteta has no intention of letting Madueke go.

It’s being reported that Arteta would personally intervene if he felt the club were open to doing a deal for Madueke.

The Gunners boss is thought to value the former Chelsea man highly and for this season, he sees Madueke as a key cog in his squad.

Of course, Arsenal’s stance could alter should they receive a huge offer for a permanent deal.

But with all the talk at the moment of Juve or Madrid wanting a loan deal, it makes zero sense.

For now, Madueke will remain with Arsenal. And with so many fixtures to come after the international break, it is easy to see why Arteta wants to keep his man.
