'He is a constant': Swedish media react to Viktor Gyokeres' performance vs Bosnia & Herzegovina

Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres continued his fine scoring form for Sweden during the Nations League clash against Bosnia & Herzegovina yesterday.
The 28-year-old has had a tough start to his second season with the Gunners, and he has played second fiddle to Kai Havertz for the centre-forward role in the Premier League.
However, he remains a key player for his national side. Gyokeres previously scored against Romania and Poland and continued the streak against Bosnia & Herzegovina on the road.
VAR chalked off the Swede’s early goal in the opening half for a handball, but he finally broke the deadlock at the hour mark with a powerful strike past goalkeeper Salko Hamzic.
Bosnia eventually equalised through a Kerim Alajbegovic free-kick, but Swedish outlet Aftonbladet (page 59) were undoubtedly impressed by Gyokeres’ overall performance.
The publication said he has been a constant, major attacking threat and praised the work he has put in over the last three matches. Aftonbladet handed him a 4/5 rating and believe there is some room for improvement with his passing.
They wrote: “He is a constant, major attacking threat. Look at the work he’s put in over these last three matches—how does the guy keep going?
“After having his early opening goal disallowed for handball, Gyökeres blasted in the 1–0 goal just past the hour mark, firing it straight over the head of poor Hamzić in the Bosnian goal.
“If only he could sharpen up his passing game a bit, too.”
Gyokeres netted 21 goals across all competitions during his debut season at Arsenal. He has yet to get off the mark this campaign and has not been helped by inconsistent playing time.
The Swede has started in the Carabao Cup and Champions League for the Gunners, but has been a regular on the bench in the league, playing just 29 minutes in two appearances.
The 28-year-old is more of a confidence player in our view. He is currently in sublime scoring form and should be fancied to score against Romania in the next Nations League game too.
This should be good news for the Gunners, as Gyokeres could make his first league start of the season against Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium next weekend after Kai Havertz’s injury.
Havertz sustained a hamstring issue on Nations League duty with Germany against the Netherlands, and he appears a huge doubt to feature against Daniel Farke’s side on the 10th of October.
