Four clubs eyeing struggling Arsenal star

Viktor Gyokeres moved to Arsenal just over a year ago, but he already finds himself struggling for regular action despite arriving as one of the deadliest strikers in the world.

When he competed for Sporting Club, he was one of the best players in his position on the continent and delivered more goals than most strikers in all of Europe’s top divisions. His performances made him a highly sought-after forward.

This is why several clubs wanted to add him to their squad, and he was only interested in a move to Arsenal. However, life has not been easy for him since he moved to the Emirates, and the striker could leave in the next window.

Considering that Kai Havertz could get injured during the season and Arsenal would have only Gyokeres as the other striker to turn to, the club will not want to sell the Swede. His presence provides important depth in attack.

Gyokeres attracts transfer interest

However, that has not stopped clubs from showing interest in his signature, with Standard Sport reporting that Juventus, AC Milan, Al Ahli and Al Ittihad all have an interest in signing him in this window.

They have been watching him and monitoring his situation at the Emirates, which is encouraging them to show strong interest in his signature ahead of the next window. His situation could therefore remain a subject of interest.

A summer move is more feasible, as Arsenal will get a chance to replace him, but a move away from the Emirates in January cannot be ruled out at the moment. Arsenal would have more time to identify a replacement during the summer.

Arsenal face decision over striker

For now, Arsenal will have to consider their options before deciding whether to keep Gyokeres or allow him to leave. His role in the squad could become particularly important if Havertz suffers an injury during the season.

At the same time, continued interest from clubs could give Gyokeres alternatives if his situation at Arsenal does not improve. The striker’s future will therefore remain an issue to monitor as the next transfer window approaches.

A departure would leave Arsenal needing to consider another attacking option, while keeping him would provide additional depth in the striker position. For now, both possibilities remain open as the season develops.
