Five high-potential gems that should make Arsenal transfer shortlist in 2027

Five high-potential gems that should make Arsenal transfer shortlist in 2027

Arsenal's squad is so strong nowadays that there is barely scope for improvement.

But Mikel Arteta is not one to sit still and in future transfer windows, he will always seek to add quality to his ranks even if it means moving players on.

The strength of the squad's depth will, however, enable the Premier League champions to explore more young signings - players that could develop into superstars in the future.

With that in mind, football.london picks out five names that could enter the club's thinking in 2027.

Babis is a player fresh in the minds of Arsenal supporters following the team's 3-0 defeat at Brighton before the international break.

Kostoulas was on target, slamming in Albion's second, from just outside the penalty box.

But it wasn't just about his goal as his all-round link play, pressing and hold-up play was really smooth for a 19-year-old.

He seems to have baulked up and who knows, if Viktor Gyokeres departs in the future, maybe he is the kind of striker that might fit the bill.

If he can hit the 10-goal mark in the Premier League this term, it's certainly something for the teenager to build on.

Anyone for two Italian full-backs on either flank? Kayode is robust, strong, good going forward and can defend.

In many ways, he is a ready-made Arteta full-back and he can also send long throws into the box.

Arsenal will likely be looking for a new right-back next season as Ben White and Jurrien Timber have both had their fair share of injury problems.

Kayode really wouldn't be a bad option as he continues to grow and get better under Keith Andrews at Brentford.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is destined for a Big Six move - so why can't Arsenal make a play for his signature?

King has already received recognition with England at international level as he was invited to a pre-World Cup camp with Thomas Tuchel's squad in West Palm Beach.

The exciting starlet is also getting regular starts this season under Alvaro Arbeloa, aiding his development.

If Arsenal end up selling Ethan Nwaneri then there would be no harm in launching a push for King.

He could bolster the first-team set-up and learn from Martin Odegaard, though he would likely cost a premium fee.

It already seems clear that Arsenal have a degree of interest in Ngumoha.

His pathway is a tad blocked at Liverpool following the signing of Bradley Barcola and the Gunners are still open to signing a left-winger (Ngumoha's favourite position).

The 18-year-old was born in London and looks destined for the top, though Liverpool won't be interested in selling him.

If Arsenal can somehow genuinely enter the frame, then he is somebody worth pursuing as he's a generational talent capable of becoming one of the world's best.

A bit of a wildcard option, Mora is a player with huge potential and versatility to star in multiple positions across the frontline.

Not only that but he's been dubbed the future of Mexican football, so has huge marketability too.

He showed flashes of promise at the World Cup and he's already represented by top agent Rafaela Pimenta, who will be offered the player to multiple top European clubs.

Mora is someone Arsenal should be looking at, even if it's just a left-field punt because he would create a buzz and excitement around the Emirates Stadium.

Official premium experiences at the Emirates are available now for the 26/27 Premier League season. Make it easier than ever to turn a regular fixture into something genuinely unforgettable.
