'I hated it': Paul Scholes thinks Arsenal could now do exactly what Man United did 12 years ago

Paul Scholes always has a lot to say about Arsenal.
The Manchester United legend has made several controversial comments about the Gunners over the years, and many of them never made any sense.
Ahead of the new season, Scholes has had his say again, but this time, he is spot on with his assessment of Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Paul Scholes comments on Arsenal potentially selling Myles Lewis-Skelly
Lewis-Skelly has been in the news a lot over the last few days.
The England international has been a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium, and he loves the club dearly too.
However, reports claimed that Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Chelsea and Manchester United, which made Arsenal fans furious.
Paul Scholes has now come out and backed Gooners by claiming that it would be a mistake to sell the 19-year-old Arsenal academy graduate.

He compared the potential sale to when Manchester United sold Danny Welbeck to Arsenal all the way back in 2014 – 12 years ago. He hated that move.
Scholes said on The Overlap Fan Debate: “I prefer Myles Lewis-Skelly in centre midfield to Zubimendi. I think Zubimendi struggled last year. If there’s one player you are going to get rid of, it would be him.”
Speaking further about the prospect of selling Lewis-Skelly, he added: “It reminds me a little bit of when Danny Welbeck left Manchester United. I hated it, didn’t like it.
“Now, Danny was a little bit older than Myles Lewis-Skelly, but when you’re losing your own players, it’s disappointing.”
Selling Myles Lewis-Skelly shouldn’t even be an option for Arsenal
Every single Arsenal fan is against the idea of selling Lewis-Skelly, and rightly so.
It’s not just that the teenager is one of our own, but also that he is one of the best players of his age in the entire world.
Selling a player who was integral in the Premier League title run-in last season and started the Champions League final makes no sense, especially after seeing how good he was in pre-season.
Scholes, for once, is right about Arsenal. They shouldn’t even consider selling Lewis-Skelly this summer.
