How Morgan Rogers reacted when Arsenal fans started mocking him with a song

All eyes were on Morgan Rogers when Arsenal took on Chelsea in the Premier League.
The England international was Mikel Arteta’s top target in the summer transfer window, but when Aston Villa raised their asking price to £117 million, the Gunners walked away.
Chelsea were happy to pay that sum and get one over Arsenal, which is why Rogers became the centre of attention at the Emirates Stadium today.
The former Villa star was in the thick of it throughout his time on the pitch.
Arsenal fans mock Morgan Rogers with a song
Morgan Rogers would’ve wanted to prove a point after Arsenal refused to pay the big bucks to sign him this summer.
The 24-year-old did that almost instantly.
Within two minutes, Rogers opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the box, ran to the corner flag, and copied Thierry Henry’s celebration.
The England international would’ve thought it was his day at that point, but Arsenal played Chelsea off the park and deservedly won the game.

In the second half, after needlessly pushing Declan Rice and picking up a yellow card, Xabi Alonso decided to take Rogers off.
Unfortunately for him, he was on the other side of the dugout and had to leave the pitch there before walking around the ground to take his seat.
Arsenal fans took their opportunity and started singing: “You should have signed for a big club!”
To be fair to Rogers, he took it in good spirit by looking at the singing supporters and smiling at them before walking back to the dugout.
Arsenal should still regret not signing Morgan Rogers
Rogers ended up losing on his first visit to Arsenal since the summer transfer saga, and Christos Tzolis was arguably better than him today.
Arsenal fans can use that to mock him, but we’re sure most of them would still take him at the Emirates.
Rogers is a phenomenal footballer, and if he were playing in a team as strong and structured as Arsenal, he would look twice as good as he did today.
That is why the Gunners must still regret not signing Rogers. Maybe he will be available in a couple of years, like Kai Havertz and Noni Madueke. Time will tell.
