How much Arsenal will have to pay for Kenan Yildiz as Gunners register their interest again
Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz is not a brand new name to Arsenal fans but once again, links are emerging.
Yildiz is among the most highly sought after in Europe after coming through the ranks at Bayern Munich and then making his breakthrough at Juventus.
The 21-year-old is already approaching 100 career appearances for the Turin club and with Turkey, he’s already firmly entrenched in the international set up.
However, despite a new deal in Italy, Yildiz has appeared on Arsenal’s radar once again.
After missing out on Vinicius Jr, Andrea Berta is searching for and looking at other targets.
Nevertheless, when it comes to Yildiz, it’s looking like the Gunners will need to break the bank once again.
Juventus’ asking price for Kenan Yildiz as Arsenal circle
We’ve become accustomed to seeing Arsenal spend big money in recent windows. £100m on Declan Rice, over £70m on Viktor Gyokeres and even this summer, another £75m on Bruno Guimaraes.
Arsenal were, of course, ready to break the bank to sign Vinicius Jr as well.
Now, it seems they’ll need all of that money to land Yildiz, with Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport claiming Juventus will only even entertain negotiations if an offer of over £100m is made.
Juventus only tied Yildiz down to a new contract in February of this year. That contract runs until 2030, putting Juve very much in the driving seat.
Arsenal will now need to decide whether they go all in or not for a player who isn’t quite as proven as previous targets.
Furthermore, the signing of Christos Tzolis is already looking like a good one based on pre-season. Whether or not that impacts the club’s thinking with a new forward, only they know.
