Arsenal set £51.3m asking price to sell 25-year-old star

Arsenal have set their asking price for winger Gabriel Martinelli following a formal offer from Galatasaray.
The Gunners have already signed Christos Tzolis to reinforce the left wing. The Greek arrived as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who moved to Besiktas.
The Premier League holders are now open to parting ways with Martinelli, with plans to bring in a marquee left winger before the transfer window closes.
Galatasaray made an offer worth £38.4 million for the 25-year-old yesterday, and journalist Yakup Cinar (via Haber Sari Kirmizi) claims that the Gunners want more.
Arsenal are asking for £51.3m to sanction Martinelli’s exit.
Agent George Gardi, who acted as an intermediary for Victor Osimhen’s initial move to Galatasaray, has been authorised by the Super Lig side to negotiate with Arsenal.
Arsenal should hold firm on Martinelli price tag
The 25-year-old had a mixed 2025/26 season with the Gunners. He made 18 goal contributions across all competitions, but only five of those came in the league.
Martinelli largely played second fiddle to Trossard for the top-flight games and may find himself behind Tzolis in the pecking order if he were to stay this summer.
Tzolis has scored one goal, provided two assists and won a penalty in pre-season. The Greek has surely done enough to warrant a starting role in the near future.
Arsenal appear prepared to part ways with Martinelli to recruit a marquee left winger, who would be assured of more playing time than Tzolis next season.
Crysencio Summerville recently left West Ham United for Al-Hilal for £55m plus £5m in add-ons. The Dutchman made just 12 goal contributions last campaign.
Martinelli is more valuable due to his better track record, but given his current contract situation, the Gunners could be inclined to accept a more reasonable fee.
£51.3m appears to be a good valuation, given that Martinelli’s deal is valid until June next year, with a 12-month option. We believe Arsenal should stand firm on the price tag.
Galatasaray are bound to return with a renewed offer. Martinelli has emerged as their top left-wing target after a lack of progress in negotiations with AC Milan for Rafael Leao.
