Alex Iwobi And Emile Smith Rowe Wipe Instagram Presence As Fulham Slump To Third Straight Defeat

Fulham fans have noticed that former Arsenal pair Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe have quietly removed their Instagram posts amid the club’s dismal start to the season.
Iwobi has stripped his profile back to almost nothing, leaving only a single non-football post visible, while Smith Rowe has gone further by removing or hiding every post entirely.
The timing of the deletions has raised eyebrows, coming as Fulham sit 19th in the Premier League table after losing all three of their opening fixtures.
Only promoted Coventry City have endured a worse opening to the campaign, and that is solely on goal difference rather than points.
This is not the first time Iwobi has scrubbed his Fulham-related content, having done something similar earlier in 2025 before reactivating many of his posts in late May.
He has now once again removed almost every image from his profile, suggesting this latest clear-out is a deliberate decision rather than a technical issue.
Iwobi featured in all three of Fulham’s Premier League defeats this season, while Smith Rowe made substitute appearances in two of those matches and was an unused substitute in the third.
Smith Rowe did manage to find the net earlier in the campaign, scoring in a 3-0 League Cup victory over AFC Wimbledon, which remains Fulham’s only competitive win of the season so far.
The mood inside the club appears increasingly fractious, with Kenny Tete reportedly making a frustrated comment to a fan about the manager following the team’s most recent defeat.
Kevin also added to the growing sense of unease by posting a cryptic message, suggesting the discontent extends beyond just the two former Arsenal men.
Fulham’s next challenge is a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool, who remain unbeaten after a win and two draws to open their own campaign.
It will take a significant collective effort from what appears to be a disconnected squad to get any kind of result in what is a daunting fixture.
