Confirmed Arsenal XI vs Sunderland: Arteta makes four changes, Timber on bench
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed the starting line-up for tonight’s Premier League clash against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
The Gunners have had a perfect start to the league campaign with three wins and can go top of the table with a positive result over the Black Cats.
Arsenal played out a 2-2 draw on Wearside last term and will be eyeing a victory this time around.
Ahead of the game, Arteta has made four changes from the 1-0 Champions League win over Napoli.
David Raya continues in goal for the Premier League holders.
Ben White, Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhaes start in defence alongside Riccardo Calafiori. Calafiori, who was an unused substitute in midweek, replaces Piero Hincapie at left-back.
Similarly, there is a solitary change in midfield. As expected, Myles Lewis-Skelly comes in to partner Declan Rice in the centre of the park. Mikel Merino drops to the bench.
In the final third, there are a couple of changes. Christos Tzolis, who has already bagged four assists in his early Arsenal career, replaces Eberechi Eze on the left wing.
Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka continue in the number 10 and right wing positions respectively, but Viktor Gyokeres makes way for Kai Havertz in the centre-forward role.

Meanwhile, there is good news on the bench. Jurrien Timber is back after a groin issue. The Dutchman has returned to the matchday squad for the first time since the Champions League final in May.
