Arsenal have already identified their plan B if they can’t sign Jarell Quansah

Arsenal are being linked with a move for former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah but they’re also not putting all their eggs in one basket.

Quansah is the latest name to get linked with the club as Mikel Arteta’s search for a right-back who is also comfortable in the middle goes on.

Fellow England man Ezri Konsa is also a known target for the Gunners.

However, aside from Konsa and Quansah, it seems Arsenal are also looking into Europe and that has taken them to Italian high flyers, Como.

Arsenal keen on Jacobo Ramon as Jarell Quansah alternative

Arsenal are scouring the market this summer and while they’re not quite landing multiple names in a row, it’s clear there is hard work going on.

The signing of Bruno Guimaraes is the headliner but the Gunners still want a defender and they also want a new attacker as well.

In terms of that new defender, TalkSport is claiming that Como’s Spanish starlet, Jacobo Ramon, is a target for the Gunners.

Ramon has played a key role under Cesc Fabregas as Como have flown up from Serie B and then impressed in Serie A, securing European qualification last season.

Ramon came through the ranks with Real Madrid and made a handful of appearances in the 24/25 season before moving to Como and playing more than 30 times last season.

Having already played for Spain’s under 21s and now firmly on the eye of the senior team, Ramon’s next step in his career is seen as crucial.

Arsenal are impressed by what they’ve seen from Ramon so far. Quite how much Como would demand to sell, is open to debate but given their standing in the game and market, he’s likely to cost much less than the £60m quoted for Konsa and Quansah.
