Mikel Arteta says he has noticed something different about two Arsenal stars, and it could be massive

Arsenal are getting ready for the Community Shield against Manchester City in Cardiff.

The Gunners were winless in their last three pre-season games, but there have been many positive signs in their performances.

Mikel Arteta is mostly satisfied with the preparations so far, and he will want nothing other than a win against City on Sunday.

Ahead of the game, the Arsenal manager spoke about a few of his players, and his comments about two of them caught our eye.

Mikel Arteta says he has noticed a difference in Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard are two of Arsenal’s most important players.

The England international is the face of the club and one of the best players in the world. Odegaard is the club captain and is the club’s creator-in-chief.

When the two players are fit and firing, Arsenal are one of the most dangerous clubs in the country, but unfortunately, they have both had injury issues over the last two seasons.

Gooners are praying that Saka and Odegaard will be available and at their best in the upcoming campaign, and Arteta seems very positive about them.

The Arsenal manager has claimed that he has noticed something different about the two players in their preparations so far.

He said, as per Arsenal.com: “With him and Bukayo as well, I see something else.

“Obviously, they had some issues last year, and they couldn’t have the consistency levels that they know they can bring to the team.

“So there is a big margin and a big gap there that I think the team is going to benefit from because I can see the desire in them.”

Arsenal will be hard to stop if Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard are at their best

Arteta’s comments about Saka and Odegaard are really encouraging.

Arsenal won the Premier League last season without either player being fully fit, which was an extraordinary achievement.

However, if Saka and Odegaard were fit and firing, the title win would’ve been far easier because that’s how good they are – individually and together as a pair.

In pre-season, Odegaard was incredible for the Gunners, and that is a huge positive going into the new season.

If Saka is at his best too, it would be a massive boost, and Arsenal will become even bigger favourites to retain their Premier League crown.
