Arsenal offered 21yo left winger

Arsenal have either been offered, or made a late enquiry, over Malick Fofana as they consider whether to add another attacker before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The 21-year-old Belgium international has emerged as one of the options under discussion at the club, with preliminary contact made to establish whether a deal with Lyon would be feasible.
The BBC reports that Fofana was offered to Arsenal by intermediaries and that the “merits” of a possible move have been considered at the Emirates.
They also report, however, there is no “universal backing at Arsenal with regards to a move for Fofana so it now remains to be seen whether the Gunners move ahead with a move for the Belgian.”

French reporting carried by Get French Football News from RMC, however, says it is Arsenal who have made enquiries over the winger.
Fofana is contracted to Lyon until 2028 and is understood to be receptive to the possibility of joining Arsenal, although he has other potential options.
Reports have placed his valuation at about €40 million for the 5-cap Belgian.
