Confirmed: Angelinou Pedro signs first professional contract with Arsenal

Defender Angelinou Pedro has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal, the club have confirmed.

The centre-back signed terms after turning 17 last week and becomes the first member of this season’s scholarship intake to progress to a professional deal.

Last season, while he was still a schoolboy, Pedro featured for Arsenal at U21, U19 and U18 levels.

An injury saw him miss pre-season and the start of this campaign but Pedro is now back available and will be eager to establish himself as a key player for the U18s.

A player who is strong physically, he is a good reader of the game.
