Arsenal handed major boost in pursuit of Victor Osimhen as latest development emerges from Turkey

Arsenal’s search for a marquee attacker before the window closes may have just taken an encouraging turn.
The Premier League champions signed Christos Tzolis earlier in the summer, but it’s clear they still need more X-factor up top.
Andrea Berta and the ownership did all they could to lure Vinicius Jr away from Real Madrid, but it wasn’t to be.
According to Turkish media outlet Sozcu Gazetesi, which amasses over four million followers on X, Arsenal’s focus is now firmly on signing Victor Osimhen.
And crucially, the latest development could help smooth a deal over.
Key agent that helped Victor Osimhen move to Galatasaray is now working on Arsenal deal
Indeed, the intermediary who facilitated Osimhen’s permanent move from Napoli to Galatasaray last summer is now working on bringing him to the Emirates.
Jorge Gardi, the agent who brokered the Nigerian striker’s Galatasaray deal, is understood to be actively trying to engineer a move to Arsenal this summer.
If true, this could be huge. Gardi knows the player, knows his camp, and has the relationships on all sides to make a deal happen quickly if the will is there.

Andrea Berta has already spent weeks leaning on his Turkish network, enabling Leandro Trossard’s sale to Besiktas and conducting talks with Galatasaray over possible departures such as Gabriel Martinelli.
With Julian Alvarez appearing to have his heart set on a Barcelona move — be it this summer or next — Osimhen is the next best option in terms of immediately raising the level in that centre-forward spot.
He even has the approval of Thierry Henry, who previously praised his killer mentality as something that sets him apart from other strikers.
That ‘killer’ quality is something Arsenal have been desperately lacking in the final third.
Berta may need to find a way to engineer an exit for Viktor Gyokeres for this move to work — he could even offer him out to Barcelona, who we know are in search of a striker.
Either way, time is running out, with just over two weeks left in the window.
But if Arsenal are to mount a convincing title defence, Osimhen could be exactly what they need.
