Arteta named best coach in Premier League by former rival

Mauricio Pochettino has praised Mikel Arteta as the best coach in England at the moment, as the Spaniard continues to lead one of the best Arsenal teams of the last decade.

The Gunners have one of the best managers around and have done their best to provide him with one of the strongest teams in the world, putting him in a position to challenge for several trophies.

He ended their wait for a league title this summer, but even before then, Arsenal had made remarkable progress under him since he became their manager in 2019.

The former midfielder will also be thankful to the club for trusting him and allowing him to grow as a coach and develop the team, which is now benefiting the club.

Arsenal have a superb team that can compete against any opponent, and Arteta has done well so far on their bench. However, the question remains whether he is truly the best manager in the Premier League at the moment.

Pochettino gives Arteta huge praise

The USA World Cup manager Poch says to Sky Sports:

“Mikel [Arteta] is the best coach in the Premier League today.

“Knowing what he needs to do, it’s going to be tough to beat them.”

That is high praise from Pochettino, particularly given the quality of managers competing in the Premier League. Arteta has nevertheless built a strong reputation through the progress he has overseen at Arsenal.

Arteta continues to impress

The Spaniard has helped transform Arsenal into a team capable of competing at the highest level, while the club have continued to support his development and ambitions.

His work since taking charge in 2019 has produced significant progress, and the league title he secured this summer represents another major achievement.

Pochettino clearly believes Arteta is currently ahead of his Premier League counterparts. Judging by the job the Spaniard has done so far, it is probably praise that Arteta deserves.
