Arsenal told they now have a youngster who will become better than Martin Odegaard

Martin Odegaard is one of Arsenal’s best players.
The Norwegian didn’t have a great game against Brighton, like all of his teammates, but he has been exceptional in every other fixture so far.
Odegaard is Arsenal’s driving force in attack, and when he’s not on the pitch, they often look lost. That happened plenty of times last season.
Arsenal could do with a like-for-like back-up for their skipper, and they may have produced one in their excellent academy.
Darren Bent says Max Dowman will be even better than Martin Odegaard
Max Dowman is a superstar in the making, and everyone can see that.
The 16-year-old has been training with the first team since he was 14, and he has already had a big impact under Mikel Arteta. His performance against Ipswich was sensational.
Dowman scored two wonderful goals at Portman Road, and since then, people have been calling for him to get regular minutes.
Darren Bent was amazed by the Arsenal wonderkid, so much so that he has predicted Dowman will surpass Odegaard when he starts playing regularly.
He said on talkSPORT: “I’ve got no doubts that if Max continues at the rate that he’s going, and say Odegaard is still there as the captain, Max can be better than Martin Odegaard.
“Odegaard was a wonderkid when Real Madrid bought him.
“But I’ve got no doubt that Max can be better because he’s got more of a physical presence. I think he’s a better dribbler. I think he’s got more of an eye for a goal.”
What Max Dowman still needs to learn from Martin Odegaard
Dowman definitely has the potential to become one of the best players in the world. He has all the attributes you need as an attacker, and he’s always getting better.
Bent may well be right. One day, Dowman could surpass Odegaard and become a better player than he ever was. But he still has a lot to learn from the Arsenal skipper.
Odegaard is incredible off the ball. His pressing, the way he helps out defensively, and his work rate in general are second to none among players who play in his position.
To succeed in Mikel Arteta’s system, Dowman needs to do all of the above on top of developing his already-brilliant attacking qualities.
That will take time, but when he does get there, we won’t be surprised at all if he ends up becoming a better player than Odegaard.
