Arsenal told Sunderland star suits them and would do well

Arsenal spent a significant amount of time in talks to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Club last season and were confident that they had secured a superb striker to improve their squad. However, he struggled during his first season on their books, and nowadays, he cannot even get into the team at the Emirates, with Kai Havertz starting matches ahead of him.

The Swedish striker wants more game time and has been one of the players whose playing time has been significantly reduced by Mikel Arteta so far. Arsenal could now be looking for another attacking option if his situation does not improve.

Arsenal consider striker options

The Gunners believe in replacing players quickly if they do not meet expectations, and they have now been told that Brian Brobbey could be a good fit for their team. The Dutchman has been in superb form for Sunderland since last season and has continued to demonstrate his quality.

Brobbey has just scored a hat-trick against Manchester City, which shows how devastating he can be in games. His recent performances have increased the attention surrounding him and could make him an option for clubs looking to strengthen their attack.

His physical qualities and ability to influence matches have made him an interesting player to consider. Arsenal could therefore see him as someone capable of providing a different option in attack.

Darren Lewis backs Brobbey

Journalist Darren Lewis believes Brobbey can perform well at top clubs, including Arsenal, and discussed his qualities on Talk Sport:

“I see him as an option at Liverpool… with his strength, but his vision and his ability to read the game so well.

“And to take advantage, latch onto one centre half, then another. And just intimidate and frighten the life out of them.

“Man United could really do with somebody with that capability.

“I think Arsenal could [too], absolutely.”

Brobbey’s form has therefore put him in the conversation as a potential option for Arsenal. His ability to combine strength with his reading of the game could give the Gunners another profile in attack.

For now, Gyokeres remains at Arsenal and will hope to earn more opportunities under Arteta. However, continued limited playing time could lead to further discussions about his future and whether the club should consider another striker.

Brobbey’s recent performances provide a reason for Arsenal to monitor his progress, particularly after his impressive display against City. His form could make him an option if the Gunners decide they need to make changes in attack.
