Arsenal midfielder Ife Ibrahim makes further progress

Amid all the action that occurred at Portman Road on Tuesday night there was another notable moment for Ife Ibrahim.
The Hale End product has featured prominently at U21 level over the past year and now has two first-team appearances to his name, with his involvement against Ipswich following on from a cameo against Kairat Almaty in the Champions League last season.
Mikel Arteta certainly seems to have faith in the 18-year-old defensive midfielder, who was also involved with the senior squad in pre-season.
Ibrahim is capable of breaking up play superbly, while of late he has also been taking greater risks with his passing and has demonstrated his technical ability.
The prospect will hope to get further minutes against Fleetwood Town in the next round of the Carabao Cup and there is a possibility that he could be loaned out for the first time in the January transfer window if he continues to make progress.
Breaking into a squad as strong as Arsenal’s will certainly be a difficult task but Ibrahim will be eager to do all he can to earn further involvement.
Playing for the U19s in the UEFA Youth League will also help Ibrahim’s development as he aims to help Arsenal end their wait to make a significant impact in that competition.
