Arsenal have considered signing £30m goalkeeper if David Raya leaves for Real Madrid
Arsenal star David Raya is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world.
The Spain international had a turbulent start to life as a Gunner, mainly because of Mikel Arteta’s decision to drop Aaron Ramsdale in favour of him.
Since he crossed that hurdle, Raya has been magnificent for Arsenal and has won the Golden Glove three years in a row.

Arsenal have considered Zion Suzuki if David Raya leaves
David Raya should have no thoughts about leaving Arsenal.
The Spaniard is a key player for one of the best clubs in the world, and he still has several trophies to win as a Gunner.
One Premier League title is in the bag already, but we’re sure Raya has his sights set on winning the Champions League as well.
However, if one day Raya decides to make a big move to Real Madrid, Barcelona and even Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal must be ready.
James Benge of CBS Sports has revealed that Zion Suzuki, who joined Aston Villa from Parma for around £30 million in the summer, is someone they considered for that role.
He said on Charles Watts’ YouTube video: “I’m told they looked a lot at Zion Suzuki when he was at Parma.
“Just more as a if you have to break glass in case David Raya wants to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona, I guess would be the teams they’d worry about, or PSG.
“Yeah, Zion Suzuki was one they liked.”
Unai Emery has praised Zion Suzuki
Arsenal fans will always be divided in their opinion of Unai Emery, but the Spaniard is one of the best coaches in the game.
The Aston Villa boss has done a remarkable job since getting sacked at the Emirates, and his eye for talent is very, very good.
After signing Suzuki in the summer and playing him in goal twice, Emery heaped praise on his new goalkeeper’s qualities.
He said, as per Birmingham Live: “Very good. Last week he played his first match (against Arsenal), and he played fantastic. We conceded one goal, but he played very well.
“Today (against Hull City), he took another step forward with a clean sheet. He dominated with ball possession, adding himself to build up and help us be patient.
“Then, sometimes as well, he did good long balls to our strikers and wingers. He also dominated when we needed some actions defensively, with crosses and set pieces.”
Those are all the traits Raya is brilliant at, which explains why Arsenal have considered Suzuki as a potential replacement for their number one.
