Arsenal eye January move for German forward who Jurgen Klopp has just called up

Arsenal are already planning ahead for the January transfer window.

The Gunners strengthened their squad in the summer, but they have left themselves short in attack following the sales of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard.

A new forward – either a striker or a left winger – is the clear priority going into the first window of 2027, and several names have been linked already.

Eli Kroupi Junior is the obvious option, but Arsenal are looking at another Premier League attacker as well.

Arsenal are monitoring Brentford’s Kevin Schade

Arsenal were linked with several high-profile forwards in the summer, but Christos Tzolis was the only attacker they signed in the end.

The Greek international is proving to be a great find, but it is clear for everyone to see that the Gunners need more firepower.

Football London have confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Kroupi, and that is not a surprise at all considering how good he is.

The other name to come out of the report is Kevin Schade of Brentford.

The 24-year-old, who has just been called up to the Germany national squad by new manager Jurgen Klopp, has quietly been impressing in the Premier League.

Schade directly contributed to 12 Premier League goals last season, and he has already found the net three times in four games so far this term.

It’s only a matter of time before the German attracts interest from bigger clubs, and it is understandable why Arsenal are looking at him.

Schade can play both as a left winger and as a striker. He is absolutely rapid, works very hard on and off the ball and tracks back to help out defensively. That is exactly what Mikel Arteta demands from his forwards.

We won’t be surprised at all if Arsenal make a bid to sign Schade in January, but whether Brentford would be prepared to sell is a different story.
