Arsenal branded ‘disgusting’ as fans react to major behind the scenes changes at The Emirates

For the most part, everything at Arsenal football club has been right as rain for some years now.
Last season’s title win as a result of years of investment and sticking to a plan with a manager who knew what he wanted and a board who backed him.
Still, like any other club up and down the land, things can soon change and the mood music can often shift over one negative.
For Arsenal now, that negative item seems to be coming to light with reports of apparent cost cuts potentially coming down the line for the club.
A report from The Mail suggests the Gunners are hiring consultants to try and look at the running of the club and ultimately, where savings can be made.
As we saw when this happened at Manchester United under Jim Ratcliffe, fans are always quick to bite back as it’s seen like the average person will be the one paying the price.
And it’s safe to say that Arsenal are now getting that same treatment.

Football fans react as Arsenal reportedly plan cost cuts behind the scenes
Arsenal always attract plenty of attention on social media and this story is no different. The big difference this time is fans seem to be hammering the club from all directions.
One supporter termed the reports a ‘disgrace’ while another simply branded the club ‘disgusting’ for even looking into such measures.
Another fan claimed that the American owners were to blame, as many have suggested at other clubs.
“Yanks only care about money so they shouldn’t be surprised”.
Another fan, this time an Arsenal supporter, also questioned the process.
“As someone who is very familiar with the consulting world (although not the UK ones, tbf, but I suspect the American ones are close enough) I suspect this will turn out very badly.”
While another supporter seemed to echo those comments as well.
“Consulting = hiring people to sack and screw over people so you don’t have to.”
Finally, another rival fan took aim, suggesting that Arsenal are very much getting this one wrong.
“They can pay Vini 400k a week + transfer fee but cant pay their staff 2-3k per month. Couldn’t even pay for their staff to come to the UCL final. S— club.”
Clearly, this needs addressing at some point from the Arsenal leadership team.
Any sort of negativity is just not needed and while yes, some may be media spin, there is no smoke without fire.
