Arsenal fans are convinced Julian Alvarez is leaving Atletico Madrid after what he’s just done

Talk of a Julian Alvarez move to Arsenal isn’t quieting down.
The latest development coming from Atletico Madrid has Arsenal fans convinced the transfer could really happen.
It could be nothing, really, but Marca have confirmed that Alvarez missed training on Wednesday morning — the first session since he was whistled at by his own fans after the Villarreal game.
However, both Marca and Fabrizio Romano report that this absence is due to illness.
As far as a move to Arsenal is concerned, the chances of that haven’t yet changed.
Alvarez wants to join Barcelona, and Arsenal haven’t yet been given any indication that he is open to a return to England.
However, Romano’s update adds the crucial line that Arsenal remain attentive to the situation if Alvarez decides at any point to open the door to a move.

Atletico have already started sounding out potential replacements should Alvarez leave, after Romano reported they had made contact with the representatives of Jonathan David.
The internal feeling at the Emirates is that a fee can be agreed with Atletico, thought to be over the 105million they paid for Declan Rice in 2023.
The Gunners have believed throughout the summer that the saga could tilt in their favour towards the end of the window.
Well, that is fast approaching, as we enter the final few days until the deadline on 1 September.
Arsenal, Atletico, and Alvarez himself will all want clarity soon, so a solution is bound to swing one way in the coming days.
Fans of both clubs will be refreshing their Twitter feeds every five minutes until then.
