Arsenal fans are all shocked after hearing what John Terry just said
John Terry has had a lot to say ahead of Arsenal’s game against Chelsea.
The Englishman, unsurprisingly, is hoping that his old side will beat the Premier League champions, and he has even been giving tactical advice.
Terry claimed that Chelsea could expose Arsenal’s two centre-backs – likely Gabriel Magalhaes and Ezri Konsa – if they just attack high and wide.
In the same video, the Blues legend made another comment that has surprised Arsenal fans.

In a video on his YouTube channel, John Terry accused Arsenal of having a weak underbelly and urged Chelsea to go after them.
He said: “They’ve always probably had that little bit of an underbelly. I’m looking now, going: ‘We look more physical than them at the moment.’ So can you get amongst them early on? Can you upset their rhythm?”
Arsenal fans are shocked by that comment and have found it laughable because Terry’s assessment is based on a Gunners side from years ago – not now.
One supporter tweeted: “Some of these ex-Chelsea and United legends are still living in 2010.”
Another wrote: “2015 Arsenal doesn’t resemble 2026 Arsenal. He’s living in the past.”
“Of all the things you should try to do against Arteta’s Arsenal, going extra physical against them should probably be last on the list,” said another.
Another Arsenal fan reacted by saying: “You can tell he just finished watching Premiership years 2009/10 because saying Chelsea are more physical than 2026 Arsenal is outrageous.”
“Did I just hear him say Arsenal have a soft “underbelly”? John, buddy…hate to break it to you, but this is not 2009, and Arsene Wenger isn’t our manager, and the backline doesn’t have Almunia, Armand Traore and Mikael Silvestre anymore,” said another.
Chelsea will get battered by Arsenal if they take John Terry’s advice
Arsenal fans are absolutely spot on.
Some of Wenger’s sides from the late 2000s could be accused of having a soft underbelly, but to say the same about Mikel Arteta’s side today is utterly ridiculous.
Chelsea will definitely want to be aggressive against Arsenal, but if they listen to Terry and make their whole game plan about physically overpowering the Gunners, they will get destroyed.
Arsenal have plenty of players who relish the physical battle, and they are more than capable of going toe-to-toe with the Blues in that department.
The likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, Ezri Konsa, Ben White, Declan Rice, Bruno Guimaraes and Kai Havertz will all welcome a physical game with open arms because they know it will favour them a lot more than it would Chelsea.
We’re sure Xabi Alonso will have a much better game plan, but if it were up to us, we would urge the Chelsea players to listen to Terry. That would help Arsenal get an easy win.
