Ben White says rival star Arsenal wanted is the toughest player he has ever faced
On his day, Arsenal star Ben White is one of the best right-backs in the world.
The England international has always been an unbelievable player, but injuries over the last two seasons have really troubled him.
However, White looks like he is back to his best now and has been incredible since the start of the new season.
White has the ability to get the better of any winger, but there are a few who have caused him problems in recent years.
The Arsenal right-back has now revealed the toughest of them all.
Ben White says Arsenal-linked Marcus Rashford is his toughest-ever opponent
Marcus Rashford is back at Manchester United.
Several rumours in the summer claimed that the Englishman would be sold after his impressive loan spell at Barcelona last season.
Even Arsenal were said to be interested in signing Rashford after they failed to land their marquee left-wing targets like Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Jr.
No move materialised in the end, so Rashford has been reintegrated into Manchester United’s side and has been given opportunities to play.
Ben White may not be too happy with that because he may have to face the English attacker when Arsenal take on the Red Devils later this year.
Why? Because White has named Rashford as his toughest-ever opponent.
He said on Men in Blazers: “I’d probably still go with Rashford. He’s the toughest I’ve played against.”
Arsenal were right not to sign Marcus Rashford
Arsenal fans were in desperate need of a new attacker in the final days of the summer transfer window.
It got to a stage where, when Rashford was linked, some fans rightly claimed that it would be another Raheem Sterling-like signing, but a few others were actually supportive of the idea.
However, after seeing how well Christos Tzolis has started the season, combined with Eberechi Eze’s fine performance on the left wing against Aston Villa, it is clear that Arsenal don’t need Rashford.
The Englishman’s start to the season with United is further proof that he is not good enough for the Premier League champions.
That being said, we won’t be surprised at all if Rashford ends up scoring against Arsenal this season. He just seems to find a way more often than not.
