Declan Rice apology missed by TV cameras as Arsenal star left shaking his head

Declan Rice and Morgan Rogers were involved in a heated on-pitch confrontation during Arsenal's victory over Chelsea. Rogers had opened the scoring at the Emirates Stadium after just two minutes with a fine volley.
But with his side 2-1 behind after goals from Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard, Rice tripped Rogers just as he was about to sprint into the penalty area, and the visitors' chance of an equaliser went begging as Cole Palmer's effort drifted wide.
Rogers reacted furiously, springing to his feet to shove Rice and wag a finger at his England team-mate and the Chelsea man was then left even more fuming when referee Chris Kavanagh, who missed the trip, showed him a yellow card for his reaction.

Former Aston Villa man Rogers was taken off shortly afterwards but before he left the field of play, footage has emerged online, missed by the TV cameras, that appears to show Rice apologising to him over the incident; however, Rogers appeared to brush off the apology as he was seen shaking his head in the clip as was Rice as he walked away.
Rogers looked set to join the Gunners this summer, but Chelsea hijacked the deal, paying £117m to land him from Villa.
And after being replaced by Danny Welbeck three minutes from time, he was met with the chant: "You should have signed for a big club” as he made his way to the Chelsea dugout.
Speaking after the game, Rogers said: “We never gave in. We went toe-to-toe with them physically, mentally being switched on and being so focused.
“That’s the most difficult thing with coming here and playing Arsenal. They’re so physically demanding it’s tough to play against them, but we matched them in that element.
“Probably a bit of quality in and around the box where they scored two and we didn’t and I think ultimately you could be looking at a different game, but there’s other things that we can work.
“That’s the way football is sometimes, you try and nit-pick sometimes but there there’s not necessarily need to because sometimes you just lose a game and that’s what it is. Not to get too down and low about it we’ll keep moving and be fine.”
Before the England international adeed: "They’re the champions and we want to aspire to to do things in the league as well,’ he said. ‘You look at that and you see what they do and you want to compete and match it and see where you are and see where you’re at.
"I think we did that all over the pitch. I can’t look at a player in there and say we didn’t match and go toe-to-toe with them in any part of the game. So I think that’s that’s a real positive to take from it."
