Marli Salmon and Max Dowman named on bench as Arsenal face Napoli in Champions League

Marli Salmon and Max Dowman have both been named amongst the substitutes as Arsenal face Napoli away in the Champions League tonight.

It represents a first senior callup this season for Salmon, 17, who signed his first professional contract recently.

Dowman, meanwhile, has been on the bench for two of Arsenal’s three Premier League games so far this campaign.

Third-choice goalkeeper Illan Meslier is also named on the bench for the first time since joining the club this summer.

However, Jurrien Timber isn’t in the matchday squad despite travelling after recovering from injury.
