Arsenal coaches are blown away after noticing one change in Max Dowman during pre-season

Max Dowman is Arsenal’s brightest young talent.
16-year-olds are usually trying to get into the U18s, but the young Englishman is fully part of the Gunners’ first team now.
Dowman showed glimpses of his ability in the Premier League last season, but there were moments when it felt he wasn’t quite physically ready.
That seems to have changed this summer.
Arsenal staff are impressed by Max Dowman’s improved physicality in pre-season
Max Dowman was really impressive in Arsenal’s pre-season.
The teenager started off with a goal and an assist against Girona in Spain and followed it up with a few more excellent displays.
Nobody is surprised to see Dowman’s quality on the ball, skills to dribble past players with ease, and ability to have a big impact in the final third.
What did catch the eye was how easily he dealt with the physical side of the game.
The Daily Mail have now revealed that the coaching staff at Arsenal have also been impressed by this trait in training and during games.
Dowman has been able to shrug off players much older than him while he has the ball at his feet. That is a very rare trait to have at 16 years of age.
That will come in handy in the upcoming Premier League campaign, as defenders who can’t stop him will resort to kicking him to avoid danger.

Max Dowman is following in Bukayo Saka’s footsteps
One of Bukayo Saka’s most underrated traits is his strength.
The Arsenal number seven is not the biggest player on the pitch by any means, but he has the ability to hold off defenders who are much bigger than him and retain possession.
Dowman seems to be developing a similar trait, and his progress over the summer was very evident throughout his time on the pitch in pre-season.
That is going to make a big difference going forward.
